Formerly, an institution for women named as SI Women's College of Arts & Science and now Govt of Kerala and University of Calicut issued orders granting permission for co education. As per this admission is open for boys and girls . The SIAS is situated at Ummathur, near Parakkadavu in Kozhikode district, touching the border of Kannur district. Thus the institute provides opportunity to sudents belong to both districts. The SIAS provides an ideal ambience to nurture the versatile abilities , the advancement of educational opportunities and the various skills of students.
