Saqafath Institute of Advanced Studies (SIAS) under the auspices of SIA College and Academy Committee started functioning in the academic year 2013-14. The college is situated at Ummathur, Parakkadavu in Kozhikode district near Kallikkandi and Kadavathur which belongs to Kannur district. So there is accessibility to students belong to the areas of Kozhikode and Kannur district.
